The United States Department of Justice War Division was a subdivision of the DoJ created on May 19, 1942, with the purpose of congregating a number of war-related activities spread across the Department during that period. It consisted initially of the Special War Policies Unit, an Alien Property Unit, an Alien Enemy Control Unit,〔(Records of the War Division 1940~1946 ) ''Retrieved 2011-03-04''〕 and later included the War Frauds Unit, which originated as the Economic Section of the Antitrust Division.
